From Varkala, I headed to a remote village in Kerala - Munroe Island. I stayed in Munroe, amidst the backwaters and Ashtamudi Lake, for two days. The plan was simply to relax and enjoy the peace of this not so touristy spot, that most Indians don't even know about. What made my stay special was the homestay I stayed at- Akhil and his mom at Kailasham homestay made my stay so comfortable.
