An amazing Nazrul Geeti Collection is a compilation of some rare Nazrul Songs. This compilation album contains a superhit collection of primarily Bengali Nazrul Songs sung by the legendary singers like Feroza Begum, Manabendra Mukherjee, Suprava Sarkar, Purabi Dutta, Dhirendra Chandra Mitra and Sachin Dev Burman. It is a Tribute to Nazrul and it is done by the legendary artistes. Nazrul Geeti is a genre of Bengali Songs that originates from the works of the great rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Nazrul Geeti that literally translates to be songs of Nazrul is an integral part of Bengali culture. The legendary Firoza Begum and Nazrul Geeti have almost become two synonymous words. Born in 1930, Feroza Begum was educated in Calcutta in undivided India and was closely linked with rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, who is now Bangladesh’s national poet. Next comes the Legendary Manabendra Mukherjee, who is a noted Bengali singer and composer, apart from being a famous Modern Bengali Song composer and a great playback singer was also known as a great Nazrul Geeti artist.
