Murramarang South Coast Walk Day 1: Pretty Beach Campground-Mount Durras-Clear Point-Pretty Beach

After a restful sleep at Pretty Beach Campground we woke up early to have our carbs loaded breakfast and began our first day walk. We opted to start by walking up the more strenuous part of Mount Durras from Pretty Beach Campground where we were based. Our plan was to do a loop by hiking up the Mount Durras to Clear Point and then back to Pretty Beach Campground. This way, we could start by doing all the hard work and then end with highs enjoying all the stunning coastal views. We estimated the distance of the loop to be approximately 12km. We spent nearly 7 hours walking and stopping quite frequently to take photos/ videos or simply enjoying the spectacular ocean views. It was high tides during our walk and we had the opportunity to see massive swells in the ocean. It was rather frightening and at the same time, spellbound to watch the ocean in such a state. By the time we arrived back at Pretty Beach Campground, we were feeling exhausted but contented that we managed to complete the walk as planned. We were looking forward to our next day adventure.
