STAFF PICK: "After 18 years at Goodspeed, I have a lot of favorites. So many great memories on our stages! The one show that sticks out the most for me, though, is The Boy Friend. Not only did I become friends with Julie Andrews, her manager Steve Sauer, Tony Walton and so many others, but it also gave me a chance to try something completely new: National Press Agent. The Boy Friend was a light and airy show with a simple boy-meets-girl plot, beautiful sets and costumes and a very accomplished cast that I see on Broadway and television today. It was a big hit at Goodspeed and then we toured it around the country. I worked with each of the venues to oversee marketing, coordinated press for Julie and traveled to the larger markets to assist with opening the shows – all while doing my “day job” at Goodspeed. It was incredibly exciting to see our Goodspeed show transformed into a larger production and playing on stages all across the country! I was so proud to be part of the Goodspeed team that made all of this happen."
