This video helps you to better understand what it takes to fit the soundpost. It can be done in a few minutes, hours, or even days. Here we talk about doing things better and that's why we talk about sound Adjustment. Now, the shocking news is that your violin can also sound fabulous with a horrible adjusted soundpost. Well-fitted Soundposts are not a guarantee that your instrument will sound great. But a perfect soundpost will do with your sound exactly what you want it to do. So a Factory instrument does not change its character because of the €200 fitted soundpost of a great Italian Master violin such as a Stradivari, Guarneri or one of my violins. 😉 Consider the soundpost as a “tool” in order to be able to adjust the sound to your personal requirements. And only with a perfect adjusted soundpost this is possible within the sound properties of every single instrument made with little or a lot of accuracy. It really took us a while to have all the equipment in order to get such a great video done.
