As a child of the 80s, born in the 70s, growing up in the 80s, Like many of you, I was raised on Casey Kasem’s American Top 40. I listened every week without fail, rooting for my favorite song to hit #1. A few month ago I started a new show called the Hit Song Redux where we travel back to a week in the golden era of rock and roll and recalibrate the top 10 songs of THAT SPECIFIC week based on their performance since THEIR PEAK POSITION ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100. Well after some tweaking, I’m ready to make this a regular feature, including your stories, your dedications and the actual artists commenting on their own songs, All of these songs are in a playlist we’ve created below so you can listen after the video and relive the hits. so here it is, we go back to this same week September 17th in the year 1988. Coming in at Number 10
