The Precious Gift of Salvation - Bishop Manny Santiago

"A Christian after being saved and still continue to sin is not saved." In Ephesians chapter 2, Bishop Manny Santiago explain 4 things that we should know to fully understand how precious the gift of salvation is. 1. What we once were? According to Ephesians 2:1-3, we are dead in transgressions and sins, we’re influenced by Satan and controlled by lust. Not only that, but we are also under God’s wrath, we are pagan without God, separated from God and Christ and we are without hope in the present world. Pero hindi tayo natatapos dyan dahil sa Ephesians 2:4, nandon ang salitang “but” that leads us to the second point, 2. What God did? Ano ang ginawa ng Diyos sa kabila ng kung sino tayo noon? Ephesians 2:4-5, He loved us and showed mercy on us. He also made us alive again and by grace, He saved us. And it didn’t end there, God lifted us up with Christ. 3. How God did it? Despite of everything that we’ve done, God still did all these things to us, and how did He do all of those is by His love, His mercy, His power, His grace and by the blood of Christ. Man is spiritually dead, but Christ made us alive again. Noong tayo ay makasalanan pa, nagdesisyon ang Diyos na mahalin tayo. 4. What we are now? a. We are products of love, power, grace of God and blood of Christ. Salvation is the combination of all these. b. We are saved. Kahit gaano pa kalakas ang bagyo na dumating sa buhay mo, hindi iyon ang magde-determine kung sino ka. Legally, we are saved. Everything that happened to you in your past is pointing to your salvation. c. We are God’s handiwork created for great job. The power of God will lead a Christian to do a great job. Kapag ligtas ang tao, magta-trabaho ‘yan kay Lord at para kay Lord. Remember that we are God’s greatest masterpiece. Ang direksyon mo ay towards holiness. d. We are the people of God e. We are the Pillars of the temple of God. Kaya kung hanggang ngayon naglalaro ka pa rin sa kasalanan, mag-ingat ka. If your salvation doesn’t lead you to a your changed life, then your salvation isn’t authentic. We are no longer ordinary because our salvation led us to an extraordinary life. Hindi libre ang salvation dahil ang laki ng cost- buhay ni Jesus Christ. The precious gift of Salvation is not intended for our own consumption but it is to showcase God’s work. Blessed?
