Red Faction is a series of shooter video games developed by Volition and owned by Plaion. The series is known for the struggle of the working people (usually miners) of Mars fighting for independence from off world oppressors. Such as, the foreign corporations that extract their resources/wealth from the planet, the Ultor Corporation (first game) and the collective world government of Earth, the EDF (in Guerilla/3rd game).
