Footage filmed by Keith Allen on a drab & blustery 6th Feb 1990 as he and I followed the progress of 37515 & 516 with the Redcar to Redmire limestone train from and then back to Northallerton. I'm the one who keeps getting in the way as I photograph the days activity which involves an unusual high-speed propelling main-line move, manual crossing operations & plenty of shunting at Redmire. Here the locos work tirelessly to place the empties up the grade into the upper sidings ready to be gravity shunted to the lower sidings via a road-filled loading hopper. The locos then make up the loaded train with the pre-filled wagons complete with obligatory guards brake-van before retracing their way back to the main line at Northallerton - Castle Hills Jtn then Longlands Jtn.
