​‪@RedishMotorsportbmw‬ show you how the BMW V10 (S85) Vanos Pipe is replaced - step by step. The BMW S85 V10 engine is found in the E60 & E61 M5 and the E63 & E64 M6. It has a metal braided High Pressure Pipe fitted INTERNALLY in the engine which takes engine oil from the Vanos High Pressure Pump to the Vanos Units via the Vanos Distribution Pipes. Some BMW V10 engines have had these pipes leak internally which means the near 1000psi oil pressure is reduced (or lost) and therefore the Vanos Units don't receive adequate oil pressure. When this happens an EML warning illuminates and the M5/M6 goes into Limp Mode with reduced power & revs to protect the engine until you limp it home or to a workshop for repair. Not all V10's suffer from this - but some do. Do a quick Google read up on this issue. The best time to carry out the Vanos High Pressure Pipe replacement is DURING Conrod Bearings as the underside and Sump have already been removed - therefore it's just 2.5 hours extra labour at that point to change this Vanos Pipe.
