USPSA vs IDPA

This is a brief overview of the two major shooting disciplines. Having shot in both, I will provide the major takeaways, pros and cons on both sides. Once again, this is a brief overview. I left a few things out, like how you can shoot 9mm major and how IDPA has a pcc division now too. I can not stress it enough, that these two are sports. They are not meant to save your life! And, one the primary things to read up and master are your firearms safety practices. Unless you want to get disqualified and sent home, feel free to violate any of the protocols, like the 180 rule. Also, I left out how both sides have different rules; however, uspsa has a little bit more freedom when it comes to certain things. Another example is how uspsa shpoters can "airgun" a stage before shooting it and IDPA shooters cant. I did this for the sole purpose of saving time. Theres a ton of awesome videos out there explaining the differences, scoring, regulations, and equipment. They can be looked up beforehand, im just giving my insight on both.
