Klim Mojave pants & jersey review for dual sports riding︱Cross Training Adventure

Our review of Klim Mojave pants & jersey review for dual sports riding! After a nasty bout of heatstroke I figured it was time to get some decent gear for hot weather riding. A pile of research indicated that for adventure riding Klim's gear seems to be the most highly ranked by many riders. I looked at both the Dakar and Mojave rangers and opted for the latter as I hoped it would bridge the gap between dirt riding and one day adventure rides that I mostly do. In for a penny in for a pound! went for the entire set up and got the Mojave in-boot pants, the Mojave Pro jersey, Mojave gloves and Mojave socks. I'm including the manufacturers blurb on the Klim Mojave pants & jersey here in case you want to pause and read it. And the reason I am including it is that it shows the level of detail they've gone into in designing this gear. After several tough rides in both adventure and dirt riding contexts I can vouch for their claims. So it will be pretty obvious I like this Klim Mojave riding gear a lot. First, it all works. I was riding in pretty standard gear before and this stuff is so much cooler. Even walking around or pottering along in first gear you can feel the air moving through the Jersey and pants. When at a standstill in the sun, the light gray finish is much more reflective than the blue and black gear I used to ride in. Most of the test rides today with the Klim Mojave riding gear, they have been in 33 degrees C (that's 91 degrees Fahrenheit) and it's made a huge difference to enjoying rides in that kind of weather. Funny little thing, the jersey has got padding along the shoulders and upper arms and I thought this would make the Jersey feel hotter at a standstill. But but then when I'm in the Sun it actually works as an insulating layer and I don't feel the Sun beating down. And the jersey material thins out of the bottom to make it easier to tuck in which is a pretty neat idea. Now when it's really hot I can just let it out to flap around in the breeze. The pants are super comfortable, incredibly ventilated, it is just so good feeling that breeze come through. It's like wearing a pair of shorts. Also I wear a full set of knee braces and there's plenty of room in the pants for them. Drawbacks with the Klim Mojave pants & jersey? Very few and really just a personal opinion... I find the gloves are incredibly light and cool to wear. But I couldn't help feeling I would just like a little bit more protection for the fingers on the off-chance a branch or obstacle hits. Now I'll definitely wear them in hot weather but would swap over to my more protective gloves. Likewise, the socks are awesome for keeping the feet cool but on really long adventure right so I could feel one or two toes getting a bit rubbed inside the boot... it's only because the material is thinner than normal, so not really a criticism but just to note my hobby's socks are really more of a quick dirt riding pants off an incredibly hot weather not an adventure sock for multiple days of riding I must admit the gear costs more than I usually spend but the quality comfort and attention to detail with the Mojave gear is totally worth it in my opinion as time goes by I'm going to add further comments and feedback in the pinned first comment. We got the full Klim's Mojave riding gear from http://shop.adventuremoto.com.au and it's perfect for dirt riding in summer. We reckon it could also be the go for light adventure riding when it's really hot. The ventilation and design of the Klim Mojave pants, jersey, gloves and socks is great for staying cool while adventure riding if you don't need heavy duty gear for long trips.
