A tough marshal is sent to clean up a lawless western town. Long summary: United States Marshall, Dave Harmon is sent to bring order to the lawless territory of Yuma. Upon arriving, he encounters two drunk men but is forced to shoot one of them when a gun is drawn. Marshall Harmon later learns that the man he killed is the brother of Arch King, a powerful man who adheres to only one law, his own. Later, someone breaks into the jail and shoots the other man with Harmon's gun. It seems that the other man is also King's brother. Only a young boy witnesses the murder in jail, claiming that the shooter was a soldier. Harmon is visited by King and told that unless he can prove that he didn't kill his brother, King will be back for his own justice. Harmon then rides out to the nearby army fort to find the soldier who killed his prisoner. The visit doesn't go well as we learn that Harmon has a complicated history with the army. 1971 Western Film Trivia: The film was shot in Old Tucson and was originally a television pilot that appeared on the ABC Movie of the Week Actor, Clint Walker played the part of a Captain of the Guard in The Ten Commandments. Someone from Warner Bros. and gave him the lead in "Cheyenne". The series was a huge hit and spawned countless other western series. When the show ended Walker began to get supporting parts in features, his biggest and most successful one being The Dirty Dozen. He starred in the well-received The Night of the Grizzly and None But the Brave, a WWII film that was Frank Sinatra's one and only attempt at directing. Walker also played the lead in Baker's Hawk, and turned in a good performance as a villain in the TV movie Scream of the Wolf.
