Conference in honor of Marius Petipa’s 200 anniversary «La Esmeralda» ballet rehearsal of Daria Ionova and Aaron Osawa-Horowitz with Maestro Toni Candeloro Daria Ionova - Vaganova Ballet Academy, Mariinsky Theatre. Toni Candeloro Étoile guest of many important theatres and companies such Zurich Opera, Arena di Verona, Ballet National de Cuba, he counts amongst his partners C.Fracci, A.Ferri, L. Savignano, G.Panova, and R.Nureyev. He performed and created roles for choreographies by important artists of the Twentieth Century such as: Birgitte Cullberg, Uwe Scholz, Alvin Ailey, Mats Ek, George Balanchine, Hans Van Manen, John Neumeier, Leonide Massine. In 2012 he was the guest choreographer for the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris for the presentation of an extraordinary event on Ballet Russes by Sergej Diaghilev. In 2012 the French Ministry of Culture awarded him with the Classical Dance Teacher diploma. Toni Candeloro created the choreography “Dei tre il secondo” for Balletto di Roma. La Esmeralda is a ballet in three acts and five scenes, inspired by the novel Notre-Dame de Paris by Victor Hugo, originally choreographed by Jules Perrot to music by Cesare Pugni, with sets by William Grieve and costumes by Mme. Copère. Marius Petipa in 1886 revive La Esmeralda.
