Low Turbo Boost ?  Common Causes Explained. Watch Before Buying A New One. #garrett #duramax #cummins In this video I have a truck with a low turbo boost complaint. I give a quick description on how turbos work, what can cause them to not build enough boost, how and what to check for leaks. A lot of people would assume the turbo charger needs replacing of you have low boost. That might not be the case. You can have any number of problems that can affect the turbo. Basic engine issues, Restricted exhaust or intakes, loose hose clamps, leaking pipes hoses, intercoolers, computer issues or even a bad egr valve. There might not be anything wrong with the turbo. I hope the tips I shared in this video help people save the cost of replacing a turbo that may not have anything wrong with it.
