14 Year Old Sings "Forget About The Boy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie

Shelby Sanborn sings "Forget About The Boy" from the Broadway Musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie". I recorded this song earlier this summer in preparation for the San Diego Fair Triple Threat competition. In this competition you sing a song, perform a dance and do acting a monolog. I prepared a tap dance that I was going to perform to this song for the dance portion of the competition and I thought it would be a nice twist to dance to a recording of the song that included me singing. So I recorded the song to submit as my dance music, but then I got cast as Patrice, the female lead in “13 The Musical” at the Lyceum Theater in downtown San Diego, and I decided not to do the fair so I could concentrate on the play. I thought the song came out pretty well so I decided to release it as a YouTube video. Hope you like it!
