As the elastic gets older it loses elasticity which results in the roof not closing within the plastic trim. The tools and materials required for this fix are: Scissors Needle and thread ( regular clothes sewing) Clothing elastic - I got a metre of elastic which is about 1 inch wide from eBay and cost approx £1.50 Torch Torx T10 driver
