The two characters face off in an epic contest named “battle of the bastards.” However, Rheon nearly ended up playing his nemesis Jon Snow in the show. In fact, the actor was just pipped to the part by Harrington. The welsh actor said in an interview, "I auditioned for the pilot of Game of Thrones and was down to the last two for Jon Snow.” Rheon also had to keep tight-lipped about who he was going to play in the show when he was eventually cast as Ramsey.
