I set off from Walna Scar Car Park Coniston up to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston. It was beautiful clear weather early in the morning so clear views of the surrounding lakes and fells. I head straight up to the rocky summit. Will the cloud hold off, will I get there in time. I return stopping to explore the slate mines and old mining buildings. This walk has everything and is one of the best walks in the Lake District. You must try it.
