Pastor Andy Wood: The role of women in the local church

Pastor Andy Wood follows up on our response to the recent decision by the Southern Baptist Convention to sever their relationship with Saddleback Church because we have women pastors. Some of you may be wondering how we arrived at the decision for women on our staff to fill pastoral roles. We believe the Bible teaches that the gifts of the Spirit, which include the gifts of teaching and pastoring, are given to both men and women by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the whole church. This video gives a biblical explanation regarding women leading and teaching at Saddleback Church.
