Translation notes: 1. On the surface, the title of this song feels like 命の踊り, meaning "Dance of Life" or "Life Dance", but in my opinion, it's 命の躍り, meaning "Leap of Life". 2. The chorus simply sounds like "Let me dance the dance of life", this is done by conjugating the verb 踊る (dance) to 踊らせる, where the らせる means "let me". But 踊らせる can mean to manipulate someone. MARETU deliberately takes advantage of such ambiguities, he's phenomenal! Another example: 靡く usually means to flutter, to bend, but again, alternate meaning of 靡かせる can mean to subdue, to win over someone's heart. 3. やりかた is usually read as 遣り方, meaning "the way to do something", but it can also be read as 殺り方, meaning "the way to kill". 4. The way the song constantly uses ましょう structures feels remarkably cultish. In my opinion, this song is from the perspective of a cult leader, leading others to commit toaster bath. 5. For me, the image looks like the kanji 爽, which means "fresh", "refreshing", "invigorating". This song exemplifies why I started translating songs from MARETU. On the surface, a cheerful translation can be created from it. But we're talking about MARETU, cheerfulness and him are unrelated.
