Today's special is "Embraceable you" from George and Ira Gershwin (composed in 1930). The harmony is wonderful and many artists have recorded this song. The version that comes first in my mind is a 1946 version by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli we've been playing with my 4tet, in which they start as a ballad in G then switch to swing in Eb. I stole a nice chord in my arrangement from Adrien Sanchez, a tenor sax friend in Paris who wrote a string arrangement for our band Collectif Paris Swing :    • Collectif Paris Swing & Guests // Bal...   I'm playing a 1939 Epiphone Emperor, a big 18,5 inches box, strung with bronze strings. I'm using a purple dunlop 0.71 mm pick, and the sound is captured with a Neumann TLM 103.
