Wristlet Strap Skill Builder - No Bulk, No Raw Edges

In this tutorial we will be making a wristlet strap with no exposed raw edges, sewn in a loop to reduce bulk. Wristlet straps can be used on hand-carry pouches for easy transport, or on their own for easily carrying keys. This strap is made using a swivel clasp. Measurements will vary based on the hardware used. Cotton fabrics are recommended over vinyl due to the double fold technique used. I am using a piece of interfaced cotton woven fabric that is 14" long, with a width of 3", that is equal to 4 times the interior diameter of my swivel clasp. The length of your strap can be made shorter or longer to suit your personal preference. The swivel clasp can be secured with a single rivet set or by sewing a line of stitches next to the swivel clasp. Strap widths for different hardware sizes will be as follows: 1/2" swivel clasp = 2" wide (4 times 1/2) 5/8" swivel clasp = 2.5" wide (4 times 5/8) 3/4" swivel clasp = 3" wide (4 times 3/4) 1" swivel clasp = 4" wide (4 times 1) This video is part of an ongoing series I will be doing where I update & re-record older tutorials on the channel.
