The Untouchables of India are living in abject poverty. They typically have no source of fresh water. They are gathering the same deathly mix of unpotable water that the livestock bathe in, that people relieve themselves in. Children and adults are suffering and dying from preventable water-borne diseases.  Untouchable villagers live in mud floor huts probably less than half the size of your kitchen. Maybe the size of your pantry. No furniture. A father, mother, and probably 6 or more children who sleep all lined up on the bare floor. We can hardly comprehend the conditions, yet one factor is constant: as little as they have, God loves them just as much as He loves you and me. They are all image-bearers of His greatness, left with no advocates, no resources, no education, and no one here on earth to love them or tell them that there is hope. We’ve been charged by Jesus with The Great Commission. Go and tell. Make disciples. TOUCH believes it is every child’s birthright to provide Hope for a better future through access to quality Education and to receive unconditional Love and Protection from disease and illness. To one day see a world in which children from the most impoverished regions have access to the quality education they need to lift their families, their countries, and themselves out of poverty.
