We're in search of some rocks and elevation in this final episode of the Disco Detour in the Vic High Country. Continuing on from the Avon trip, we head for Dargo Pub for lunch, and then work our way up to Talbotville Camping Area to begin our first track. Crooked River Track. Water was high this time around with recent rain in the area. We follow this picturesque Victorian High Country river along finding deep river crossings, mud and gates along the way. Will the Land Rover Discovery 1 handle the water crossings or will it 4x4fail in grand fashion, and will our Defender 110 prevail in the face of steep rocky and muddy tracks? Stick around to find out. Finishing Crooked River Track, and moving onto Talbotville Road following the Wongungarra River, we come across Kingwill Bridge and face a decision. To take a river crossing or the perfectly fine bridge? After some electrical maintenance and some introspective reflection about the Vic High Country, we head for the iconic Billy Goat Bluff Track for an epic sendoff to Chris and his Discovery 1 300tdi. Will the weather hold, or will we be stuck on Billy Goats in the wet and rain?
