TIA Centre Seminar Series: Dr. Gabriele Campanella Full Title: Pathology Foundation Models at Health System Scale Abstract: Gabriele Campanella is a senior computational scientist in the lab of Thomas J. Fuchs at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai focusing on computational pathology. Dr. Campanella obtained his PhD at Weill Cornell under the mentorship of Dr. Fuchs at MSKCC. In his graduate work Dr. Campanella focused on the development of clinical-grade decision support systems for cancer detection from histology slides. In his position at Mount Sinai, Dr. Campanella is now focusing on discovering novel morphology-based computational biomarkers and combining them with other medical data modalities with the goal of improving our understanding of disease and patient outcomes.
