In spite of doing two soundchecks and two shows per night, Commerford was kind enough to meet with PG’s John Bohlinger to give us a look at his mighty rig. Tim Commerford has played a lot of different basses over the years, but recently switched back to the Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay. Commerford travels with a bevy of stock StingRays that are strung up with Ernie Ball Slinky strings (.50–.105). For Wakrat, all the basses live in a pair of tunings: C#–G#–C#–F# or D#–G#–C#–F.
