New Jersey extremes. Main Line freight and Branch Line passenger trains!! 6/8/24

We spend this gorgeous day observing all kinds of rail action in all kinds of locations. First we start the day with busy action at Piscataway observing a flurry of NS/CSX action on the Conrail Shared Assets Lehigh Line including a BNSF led crude oil train. Midday, we shift our location to rural surroundings observing action on the bucolic NJT Gladstone Branch. This is so much like an interurban railroad as we see nearly 50 year old Arrow III mu’s rambling thru the countryside with their Westinghouse AA2 horns wailing. We cover the branch from the Millington High Bridge to the Gladstone terminal. This scenic line is a joy to railfan on this delightful day.
