And much of this comes from my own personal experience which is the thing I want to emphasize here. I’m no scholar and so I’m not trying to say, here are the fatal flaws in Protestant theology. But I am trying to say why I’ve been unconvinced by certain arguments and tactics that I’ve encountered. I hope it’s clear that I’m not claiming to identify what all Protestants believe, because that kind of unanimity doesn’t exist in Protestantism. Instead, I’m describing things that are commonly said to Catholics by different kinds of Protestants. If it doesn’t apply to you, then you should have no need to be defensive about it because I’m obviously not describing you.
