Watch the full interview now as a VladTV Youtube Member -    / @vladtv   Part 3:    • Smooth B on DJ Akademiks Calling Hip-...   Part 5:    • Smooth B on Avoiding the Roscoe's Loc...   Part 1:    • Smooth B on Writing for Bobby Brown, ...   -------- In this clip, Smooth B spoke to Shirley Ju about Teddy Riley telling Vlad that Michael Jackson’s vocals on his 2010 posthumous album, “Michael,” were fake. Smooth B revealed that he didn’t know that, and he went on to share a story about being in the studio with Teddy when he was making Blackstreet’s album. Smooth B revealed that Teddy had a special phone that was meant for Michael Jackson only, and he added that Michael would wear disguises to come to the studio to meet Teddy in Virginia. When asked about meeting Michael Jackson while he was with Bobby Brown, Smooth B said “it was a young rockstar moment.” He explained that he was exposed to a lot while hanging out with Bobby, and Smooth B went on to detail meeting Michael for the first time. Smooth B also spoke about meeting Teddy Riley while he was with Bobby Brown, and he detailed how Teddy’s “Guy” group mate Aaron Hall came into the studio as well. Smooth B explained that Teddy told him and Bobby that Aaron could sing like Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson, which Smooth B said they thought was a joke when Aaron came in the room and spoke with a stutter. From there, Aaron started singing “It’s my prerogative,” and Smooth B went on to speak about how Bobby Brown’s hit single “My Prerogative” was made that day. Moving along, Smooth B spoke to Shirley Ju about his friendship with Bobby Brown, and he addressed previous comments he made about Bobby having a lot of women around him. Smooth B added that him and Bobby were always respectful, especially with women, who Smooth B said were around everywhere “like water.” Smooth B then spoke about how when Nice & Smooth blew up, he was offered anything and everything.
