A Brief Overview of a NuTone LA70 Short Tube Bar Chime Base

This Video is the second in a series about NuTone 4 - 8 Note Door Chimes. The NuTone Door Chime base in this Video is a NuTone 4/8 Note Short Tube Bars Chime from Model LA70, made in the mid 1990's This 1990's base has a fully electronic control board which differs from earlier versions which had a mechanical Telechron Clock Motor to sequence the chime's solenoids. I show how to disassemble the Tone Bar / Tube Assembly from the chime base to gain access to the solenoids and circuit board.
