Off-road Thrills: Exploring pilot peak’s Majestic mountainsides!!! This trip we started out in oroville California. Traveling up past feather falls to a small lake called little grass valley reservoir. #offroad We decided not to stop there this time due to the unknowns ahead. We traveled a little further to Laporte rd where we hopped back on the road for a short distance. Then our journey began. It was a short but steep 6 mile climb from 5000 to 7500 ft. #mountains We came across about 1-2 feet of fairly fresh snow on our way to the beautiful peak above. Pilot peak. 7475 ft at the very top. We got a little of all weather on our way from rain to snow. Sun to fog. And zero wind. Even at the peak. The conditions were perfect. And the company was even better. 83 k5 blazer. 6.2 turbo Diesel. Dually width 1 ton axles. 4.56 gears. Welded front. Limited slip rear. 700r4 trans. Np208 t case. High angle driveline brand drivelines front and rear. Cfm industries spring hangers and shackle Flip in the rear with 64” Chevy springs. B-52 front spring hangers with 52” 4” lift springs for a Total of about 8” of lift. 44-18.5/15 regrooved DC Fun countries. builtnotbought 98 suburban. 5.7 vortec engine. Solid axle swapped. 5.38 gears. Arb locker front. Detroit locker rear. About 7” of lift. Usually runs 43 Mickey Thompson Baja pro 43s but on today’s trip was on 37” SS sniper tires. chevy 97 Jeep Cherokee. Stock axles. 5.13 gears. 4.0 inline 6 with 4.3 stoker kit. 6” long arm lift kit with longer rear shackles. Running toyo open country 37/14.5-15s.
