Since I got busy at the time, I had stopped my playthrough just before this mission, so I never got to experience it until recently. Man, I absolutely loved this mission (or any AC mission where its you up against the enemy aces). So, with my latest Doom marathon finished, I figured now would be a good time to sort of "turn over a new leaf" starting with this cover. I've decided to try out some different mixing techniques, and have also tweaked my guitar tone. I also decided to try something different with this video. In order to try and capture the excitement of the mission, I wound up using three different recordings. One with the cockpit view (with only sfx enabled), one with the "flycam" shots (also with only sfx enabled), and lastly a video with only the radio chatter enabled. I took the audio from the "comms" video I recorded, and picked out the voice clips and added them to the music. Then from there, I cut together the two other recordings. I had felt that the song and video just needed a little extra something, so that's why I went through the extra effort to add in the sound effects and the comm chatter. I will say, I wish I was able to fit in the "we're losing! Don't superior numbers count for anything!?" line, but alas I could only tastefully fit in as much as you hear in the video. Also, as always, I decided to follow the original closely, just mainly beefing up the main riff, and changing a few things. Then there's the new lead parts in the later half, which I really had a lot of fun playing!
