Amsterdam gets you thinking... But where do your thoughts wander? to the club scene, legalized dope smoking and red light districts? Perhaps you think of the canal ways, the bike traffic, and the picturesque squares, and markets strewn throughout the world’s greatest planned city… no? Then maybe it’s the art culture or history … as seen through the eyes of Rembrandt, Van Gough, or Anne Frank. Still no… then you might think like me… Perhaps it’s the culinary delights of this Dutch metropolis that stands your hair up on end… famed for their confectionary, chocolate, and cheese, some of the city’s finest feeds slide under the radar… not today, today, we’re going to try some of the everyday Dutch gems this city has to offer. The absolute must eat items while in the Dam … and as usual, I have some locals to show me how to get to the good stuff while we stumble upon a few street side staples in transit. Come join me while I dangle some seafood over my face, crunch through some croquette, and test my tolerance against the the chocolate baked goods of this party city on stilts.
