Pye Green BT Telecommunications Tower, Cannock - Drone Visit - 19.09.22

This is one of my first drone videos and is of the Pye Green BT Tower, Cannock. The tower is a focal point across Cannock and can be seen for miles and is constructed of concrete, standing 96.3m high (318ft tall)! It is one of 14 telecommunication towers in the UK and was originally built as part of the Cold War 'backbone' radio communications network, its elevation and height gives it line-of-sight to the BT tower in Birmingham and also that of its neighbour in Sutton Common in Cheshire. For many it can be seen really easily across the area and when travelling from Stafford to Cannock can be seen some 10 miles away.. I hope you enjoy this video, something different and local to me..
