3 approaches to subliminal modulation

In this video we look at 3 ways to turn identical digital samples into slight variations, to breathe life & subtle interest into music productions that are otherwise too "stale", "digital" and "static". The three techniques discussed are: - The "tick tock": making every second hit slightly detuned and/or vary the release time. - The "pulsating filter": using a high pass filter to scoop out the lowest frequencies periodically with an LFO. - The "parallel layer": adding a shadow layer to your sound that you can modulate more drastically over time. Everything is shown in Ableton Live, but can be done in any DAW.
