This is my short fan edit of the opening of Escape from New York, reinserting the deleted bank robbery scene in a unique position before the opening credits. While I feel Carpenter was right in cutting the scene, this edit ventures to find a suitable place for it that wouldn't stunt the pacing of an otherwise flawless credits sequence leading into the reveal of the prison. I've included the original Avco Embassy Pictures logo and the entire opening credits, to accurately depict the first reel had the bank robbery sequence been kept for theatrical exhibition. Please excuse the terrible video quality of the deleted scene, as it only seems to be available in this manner.
