Hey y'all, and welcome to today's video! Here's my compilation of DART action around the Pearl/Arts District Station in downtown. On October 8, DART was running special services and rush hour schedules during a weekend, not just for the fair, but for the TX/OU Red River Showdown (TX won!). This lead to a huge influx of traffic and weird operating patterns throughout the system. For the first time since the early 2000's, the Red Line experienced three-car trains in service, which was really interesting. The Green Line had the most interesting stuff, with green (and orange) Bachman rollsigns and LEDs, a Victory-labeled Fair Park Circulator and more. Many Red Line trains operated as 'Special' services to Lawnview Station on the Green Line through the yard, circling back to Parker Road to resume Special service, giving patrons a rare opportunity to ride through CROF (Central Rail Operations Facility (DART's yard downtown)). Carrollton bound Green Line. 12:17 DART 186 holds short of Pearl, then proceeds. 195 is trailing second in this consist! Kudos to the operator! (LOUD WARNING!) 14:34 DART 248 takes a Green Fair Park-signed Circulator past the camera. 15:42 DART 185 with Green Bachman LED's passes by the camera and into Pearl. 16:14 DART 244 appears with a Circulator for Fair Park. 16:35 DART 175 pops in with a Special LED designation, headed for Lawnview. 17:07 DART 170 heads around the curve bound for N. Carrollton. 17:55 DART 171 enters the scene with a Parker Road-bound Red Line. 18:43 DART 123 pulls a Red Line bound for Westmoreland through the junction. 19:22 DART 250 reappears with a Circulator for Fair Park. 19:54 DART 131 takes the bypass into the tunnel with a Parker Road-bound Red Line. 20:30 DART 213 rounds the curve with a UNT-bound Blue Line. 21:05 DART 122 passes by with a Rowlett-bound Blue Line. 21:40 DART 232 passes by again with a Circulator. 22:41 DART 203 leads a Bachman-bound Green Line around the curve. 23:24 DART 149 takes a Special train to Lawnview through the junction. 24:03 DART 249 rounds the curve and enters downtown with a N. Carrollton-bound Green Line, and pauses to wait for downtown to clear up. In the meantime, here's a nice view of the middle bogey. 25:30 DART 124 leads a Parker Road-bound Red Line into the tunnel. 26:16 DART 158 rounds the curve with a Westmoreland-bound Red Line, with a hornshow! 26:49 DART 148 enters with a Fair Park-bound Green Line. 27:16 DART 129 pauses to wait for 158 to leave Pearl, then resumes its course to UNT. 28:18 DART 128 rolls by with a Rowlett-bound Blue Line. 29:00 DART 260 passes by on the bypass with a Red Line to Parker Road. In agreement with COPPA regulations, my videos are directed towards a 13+ audience. Trains are not just for kids, and anyone who thinks that is a bigger failure than Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton.
