YOO what is up everyone! in this Brown Belt v "High Level" White Belt No-Gi [Rolling/Sparring] | Video Breakdown I talk about my rolling/sparring session where I only focus putting a "High Level" white belt through the No-Gi paces and demonstrate some of my favorite positions in No-Gi. This is Brown Belt v "High Level" White Belt No-Gi [Rolling/Sparring] | Video Breakdown. In this roll I discussed a theory one of my black belt professors came up with which was "high level" in lower belts. Basically the theory is if you're getting the title of a "high level" white belt, blue belt etc you're probably no longer that belt and should be looking to get promoted. I am bringing this up because Andy who is featured in the video has been steadily progressing to the point where he is for sure a Blue belt now. (Spoiler Andy ended up getting his Blue Belt shortly before this video went up). I wanted to bring this video to the channel to showcase his skill level and as a congratulation for my boy getting his Blue Belt. I opted to play a pretty standard passing game using my over/under pass and chaining it with the stack pass and constantly attacking to find openings to pass the guard. The only submission I was allowing myself to go for was the mounted triangle which andy was able to stop by hitting bumps to stop my top pressure from the mount. I made one major mistake here where I kept my head on the outside when going for the double leg so I had to play defense from the beginning right away. I've been a Brown Belt since 2022 and also moved out to California to train. I will be brining Rolling/Sparring Video Breakdowns to the channel on a regular basis so stay tuned for more!
