I Interview The Man Who Built This 1930 Ford Model A From Scratch In Just 18 Months!

I met Jerry at The 2023 Old Car Festival and he described how he built this car from the ground up in just 18 moths. This beautiful 1930 Ford Model A wood body Huckster style commercial truck was built by this cabinet maker from white oak and he drives it several times a year. Sometimes called a woody, he gets into the details as to what makes this such a unique build. When I am not making images for my normal (if there is such a thing) bodies of work as a photographer, I make plenty of fun videos for my Model A or other related videos from that time period that you can find on this channel too. Be sure to check them out. As to gear, I shoot a variety of full frame Nikon cameras and lenses. Most everything is shot on a tripod to produce the sharpest images possible. It's certainly worn but it still is functional. I have rebuilt the driveline, suspension, and tie rods, installed a modernized Model A motor with oversized intake valves, insert bearings, and a high compression head. I also have a lightened flywheel and V8 clutch. The car comfortably cruises at 50MPH but I've had it up to 60MPH.
