She helps her Tita Rosie and Lola Flor run their family restaurant and one day, Lila’s ex-boyfriend Derick Winters mysteriously dies after eating their food. Lila has to get to the bottom of this mystery or face prison time, and potentially, lose their home and restaurant forever. This book is full of mystery, romance, humor, and DELICIOUS food. You will leave this book feeling so warm and fuzzy, it’s literally the embodiment of joy, happiness, and fun. I mean, considering it’s a murder-mystery.
