He started painting at an early age. 2010-2014 Learned at Hakob Kojoyan Art School, Yerevan. 2015-2019 Studied and graduated from the Graphics department of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia Fine Arts faculty (Diploma with Honour), Received a Bachelor's degree. 2019-2021 Studied and graduated from the Graphics department of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia Fine Arts faculty (Diploma with Honour), Received a Master's degree. Since 2022 he is a PhD Student of State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia. Misak Hartenyan has made more than 600 paintings and graphic works. He authored three catalogues of his works. He had 20 personal exhibitions and participated in more than 30 group exhibitions both in Armenia and abroad. He has always been interested in fantastic and mystical themes.
