Infra Steff's Red Devil Band / Tico-Tico Strings and The Mouldy Figs Brass Section with "The New Green Moon – featuring Opera Tenor Singer Walter Heim, live 1978. Originally titled "New Green Moon Vegetarian Dance Company", this piece went through several maturing processes until the final version was written. A version adapted for the smaller ensemble is part of the repertoire of the "Red Sandwich Combo" in 1975. On March 16, 1978, Signer arranged "The New Green Moon" for the 21-piece "Infra Steff's Red Devil Band/Tico-Tico Strings plus The Mouldy Fig Brass Section" and cast Walter Hein, an operetta tenor from the Stadttheater St.Gallen, on vocals. The rest is history: a performance that stunned the audience at the preliminary round of the 6th National Amateur Jazz and Rock Festival in Augst on April 15, 1978 in Abtwil, a performance that stunned the jury (with George Gruntz) at the final on June 16, 1978 in Augst. A recording that did not amaze the jury was released in 1978 on the LP "Rock Jazz, Vol. 3, Nationales Finale 1978 Augst (Sampler)". An audio-visual sample of a re-arranged version is broadcast by Swiss television DRS in the program "Plattform" on December 8, 1978; together with the specially composed title "Secret Bras" - with the band "Infra Steff's Red Devil Orchestra", newly assembled especially for the program. Ursprünglich betitelt als "New Green Moon Vegetarian Dance Company" durchläuft dieses Stück mehrere Reifeprozesse bis zur Endfassung. Ein auf die kleinere Besetzung angepasste Version ist 1975 Teil im Repertoire der "Red Sandwich Combo". Am 16. März 1978 arrangiert Signer "The New Green Moon" für die 21-köpfige "Infra Steff's Red Devil Band/Tico-Tico Strings plus The Mouldy Fig Brass Section" und besetzt den Gesang mit Walter Hein, einem Operetten-Tenor aus dem Stadttheater St.Gallen. Der Rest ist Geschichte: eine das Publikum verblüffende Aufführung an der Vorausscheidung für das 6. Nationale Amateur-Jazz- und Rock-Festival in Augst am 15. April 1978 in Abtwil, eine die Jury (mit George Gruntz) verblüffende Aufführung am Finale am 16. Juni 1978 in Augst. Eine aufnahmetechnisch nicht verblüffende Aufnahme erscheint 1978 auf der LP "Rock Jazz, Vol. 3, Nationales Finale 1978 Augst (Sampler)". Ein audio-visuelles Muster einer re-arrangierten Version wird vom Schweizer Fernsehen DRS in der Sendung "Plattform" am 8. Dezember 1978 ausgestrahlt; zusammen mit dem eigens dafür komponierten Titel "Secret Bras" - mit der eigens für die Sendung neu zusammgestellten Band "Infra Steff's Red Devil Orchestra".
