I always figured that a stock JCM 800 could never pull off a Gary Holt style tone. Turns out you don't need much gain at all if you dial in the right amount of boost and eq. I'd say apart from those classic Metallica albums, my entire quest for ultimate tone has come from chasing the guitar tones from Exodus records. Absolute legend! To install them on your katana mkii, the easiest way is to drag the downloaded files to your desktop. Open up the tone studio with your katana connected and go to the top right corner and click the down arrow.
