It's been a lengthy hiatus on the channel after the onslaught of MegaMan music over the summer, but as has been tradition on the channel, I'm back for one final time with a Gaming Session to close out 2022. This year's featured game is a long-time personal favorite of mine, and one which was never ported 100% intact to the home: San Francisco Rush 2049. I personally consider the home ports to the Dreamcast and Nintendo 64 as being different enough from the original arcade release to be considered its own game, but it's the arcade version that I'm particularly fond of since first playing it in the early 2000s. This is a full playthrough of all 5 tracks in the original 1999 release of the game, complete with a demonstration of some of the wacky spawn glitches that would be fixed in later releases of the game. Emulated in MAME 0.251 on a PC with the following specs: -Intel Core i7 8700K (overclocked to 5GHz) on an ASRock Z370 Extreme4 -16GB DDR4-4000 CL18 -ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 6900 XT (undervolted) -256GB M.2 SSD + 1TB SATA SSD + 1TB SATA mechanical hard drive -eVGA Supernova 750G3 power supply -Windows 11 22H2 The controller setup is a Logitech G29 with a modified Logitech G25 shifter and an additional force feedback plugin.
