I am very excited to show you folk dances of Northeast india eight states—Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura (commonly known as the "Seven Sisters"), and the Sikkim ("known as brother state) Hello friends today we are in north-east cutural festival .and we will know about the dances of seven sisters and 8 states so let’s dive into the ocean of north-east india and know about the dances. And the dance form is 1. Chalem and Chaero - Mizoram - chalem is a very popular folk dance the lyrics for this dance are in tribulise.chaero has it’s popularity due to it’s unique style. I loved the dance like they were bending there legs and doing the step with bamboo 2. Agzanda from Nagaland - Nagaland we will show you Angzanda the title of this song and dance is all about angzanda which literally means love . The vibrant awards of folk song and dance is sunged and danced by the lotha naga tribe of nagaland. Nagaland full of tribes there are total 17 tribes and I loved the funky thingy that was on there legs and the red colour dress ha he oooooo 3. Hojagiri from Tripura - Friends non other than Tripura the state of music the dance form from tripura is hojagiri. Hojagiri dance is a folk dance from reyank a.k.a blueth drive from north-east india where male members play musical instruments and female members perform balancing dance using props with slow waist movements. I loved and loved the dance it was like I was scared that the bottle of fire will fell down but it didn’t amazing 4. Tamang from Sikkim - Estamang stello tamang stello is a tradional sikkimies folk dance petronies by the tamang community of the state the spell binding dance which is full of fun and figure makes the colour full lifestyle of the people living in sikkim which is performed during the dusshera festival and expresses the joy and happiness of people. In the last when the man was taking the woman on his back it was very very funny 5. Rikhampada from Arunanchal Pradesh - Rikhampada is a dance of nishi tribe subansiri district of arunachal pradesh it is believed that this dance and the nyokum festival were introduced by one of their forefathers named apatani. I loved the stripes on the dress the were like in black and white colour 6. Wangala from Meghalaya – ho ho ee ee ha ha it was me let’s see wangala from Meghalaya also known as 100 drums festival oh wow ,wangala festival is the occasion when the tribals offer sacrifices to please their main deity saljong –the sun god it is generally celebrated for two days and sometimes. The song was like they were killing someone but it was there culture 7. Bihu nach from Assam – let’s see and learn about bihunach from assam bihunach is celebrated 3 times throughout the year it marks its beginning in January.there are 7 types of bihu chot,bihu,goru bihu,manuh bihu,kutum bihu,senehi bihu ,mela bihu,and chera bihu. I loved the orange and yellow colour saree and the type they were dancing 8. haroba from Manipur – last but not the least haroba the Manipuri dance also reffered to as the Manipuri raasleela is a jagoi and is one of the major indian classical dance forms originating from the state of Manipur. It is one of the greatest culture achievements of the tradional Vaishnavism adhering Meitei people of Manipur . I loved and loved the feather that was in there hair and the girl’s dress Till now we saw folk dances but after dance it was concert time apart from the folk dances there were many bands but the band that performed on the stage was 6 strings we also danced on one of there songs I also enjoyed dancing with the culture people and also clicking selfie thankyou It was interesting to learn about north-east india tribe and it’s culture wasn’t it friends see you and remember not to make fun of the people This festival is organised by ministry of tourism at Connaught Place, Delhi INDIA.
