If you see a tear in the rubber boot or if you can manually rock the wheel assembly a little bit on the joint, you need to replace the ball joint on your Grizzly. Once we get the wheel removed, we’ll work on getting the brake line disconnected. That will introduce air into the system, so you’ll need to bleed the brakes when you’re finished replacing the ball joint and reassembling the suspension. Check below for a link to a video that shows you how to bleed the brakes on your Yamaha Grizzly. After we’ve disconnected the brake line, we’ll work on getting the A arm disconnected. Once it’s been removed, we’ll use a piece of threaded pipe to hold the arm in place while we press out the old ball joint. Then we’ll replace it by reversing the process. Then, we’ll get everything put back together again. Ready to bleed the brakes?
