It operates as train number 17415 from Tirupati to Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus and as train number 17416 in the reverse direction, serving the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka & Maharashtra. It is named after goddess Mahalakshmi who is the consort of Venkateshwara in Tirupati. The 17415 / 16 Haripriya Express has 1 AC First Class cum AC 2 tier, 1 AC 2 tier, 2 AC 3 tier, 13 Sleeper class, 2 General Unreserved & 2 SLR (Seating cum Luggage Rake) coaches. It does not carry a pantry car. The 17415 Haripriya Express covers the distance of 905 km (562 mi) in 19 hours 35 mins (46.21 km/hr) from Tirupati to Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus & in 21 hours 15 mins as 17416 Haripriya Express (42.59 km/hr) from Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus to Tirupati. The 17415 / 16 Haripriya Express runs from Tirupati via Cuddapah, Gooty, Guntakal Junction, Bellary Junction, Hosapete Junction, Gadag Junction, Hubli Junction, Dharwad, Londa Junction, Belgaum, Miraj Junction to Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus. It reverses direction of travel at Miraj Junction. As the route is yet to be fully electrified, it is hauled by a Lallaguda-based WAP-4 from Tirupati up to Guntakal Junction handing over to a Guntakal WDM-3D or Gooty WDP-4D locomotive for the remainder of the journey until Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus. It shares its rake with the 17411 / 12 Mahalaxmi Express. Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus (officially Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus) (station code: KOP) is the main railway terminus in the city of Kolhapur, India. It is the end point of the Miraj to Kolhapur railway line. It falls under Miraj subdivision of Pune division .It has a freight yard called Gur Market with a capacity of five freight trains nearly 4 km (2.5 miles) away from the station. Kolhapur is the centre of trade for southern Maharashtra with electrification between Miraj and Kolhapur. This station connects Kolhapur with major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Dhanbad through express trains. Some important express trains are the Mahalaxmi Express (Kolhapur–Mumbai), Haripriya Express (Kolhapur–Tirupati), IRCTC also runs the tourist luxury train Deccan Odyssey at Kolhapur station. The Minister of Railways announced the Miraj–Kolhapur–Vaibhavwadi rail route and electrification of Kolhapur–Pune rail route in 2016–17. There are daily passenger shuttle services between Kolhapur, Miraj and Pune. This railway station is named after Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur. It serves Tirupati and experiences a regular flow of tourists visiting the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in the Chittoor district. It is an environmentally friendly station, and has been awarded a Gold rating by the Indian Green Building Council. There are several railway stations that fall within the city limits of Tirupati, namely Yerpedu, Renigunta Junction, Tirupati West Halt, and Chandragiri railway station. The metre-gauge line of the South Indian Railway Company was opened in 1891. The line originally started from Villupuram in the South Arcot district and passed through Katpadi and Chittoor to Pakala. The Gudur–Katpadi line, covering Tirupati, has since been converted to broad gauge. Tirupati is classified as an A1–category station in the Guntakal railway division. It is one of the top one hundred booking stations among the Indian railways. There are solar panels installed on the rooftop of stations along the railway, including 500 MW solar energy panels. A new waiting hall in platforms 4 and 5 for the convenience of travelers, with a seating capacity of 210 people, in an area of over 1.200 square meters. High-speed Wi-Fi and LED TV facilities.
