Modernizing a 1978 Toyota Corolla: Installing EFI (Part 3)

This is the third video in a series of videos called project "Kai-Rolla". In This series we will be updating and modernizing a 1978 Toyota Corolla with a stock 1.6 liter 2TC engine. We plan to install a Holley Sniper EFI 2300 system. This 2bbl Throttle body injection system was designed to be a self learning, bolt-on EFI system but it was never intended to be used on a vintage Toyota. Will it work? Stay tuned to find out. One of the shining features of the Holley Sniper system is its "Bolt on" design. It literally just replaces a holley 2bbl carburetor. But this 1978 Corolla never had a Holley carburetor. The car originally came with an Aisin 2bbl carb and then was retrofitted with a webber 2bbl carb by means of an adapter kit. The challenge is then to find an adapter to mount the classic holley 2bbl flange to our stock 2TC intake, or find a new intake all together. The solution we found was a 3TC intake that had been massaged by BRD racing, along with their Holley 2bbl adapter.
