During the MoT repairs, I started to hear a rubbing sound. A quick investigation soon turned up a loose propshaft flange on the bevel gear (also know as a transfer case/tranfer box/angle drive) which sends the drive to the rear wheels. I was able to find one on eBay for £200 delivered (Volvo were asking just over £1700!) so I bought it and decided to bring the camera along when I changed it. Aside from some bolts being in an awkward place the bevel gear swap went without too much trouble. I'm hoping that this will be the last major expenditure on this vehicle at least until the next MoT. #Volvo #XC90 #bevelgear PLEASE NOTE: I’m just a DIY mechanic.
